Is the 1LE worthy of a 3 bucket wash???

I have two of the Adam's wash buckets w/ grit guard and since spring, I have been thinking about buying a third bucket for an over the top three bucket wash. Is my 2013 1LE worth it

I say "IT IS!"

The last line sums it up. If you think it is, then it is. I sprung for a new bucket and wash mit, and went on as normal. My car is a daily driver that will see track time, and it is going to get nicked, scratched and most likely dinged, but its predecessor (2001 WS-6) looked pretty good heading down the road a few months ago, and this one will too! I will keep it waxed, clean, and drive the you know what out of it. Love these cars!

I remember there being a thread on this. Do you remember how much the Opticoat cost?

I foam mine with CG too, maxi-suds 2 I think. Smells like bubble gum...

Not sure if it does or doesn't really help though. I've always washed my truck with nothing more than a good rinse then a TON of soap. After 7 years, it's in pretty damn good shape - never polished it and you'd be hard presses to find swirls.

Opticoat was $900 out the door. Car was brand new and still needed a full paint correction. Greg Gellas at Signature Detailing in Hillsborough NJ did the work. He spent about 25 hours on my car.

He could have done it for $600, With just a 1 step polish ($300 for the polish/detail and $300 for the actual Opticoat application)

In the end im glad I went for the full correction. The car care out beautifully! Im only going to get this stuff put on once and whatever is under it when they coat it will show thru. And black shows every swirl mark on the damn car. So if your going to do it, do it right the first time!

And a side note, My car was ordered and was only at the dealer for a day. I got it, never washed it and brought it right to Greg, took like 3 weeks for an appointment tho. But it still needed a full correction right from the factory. Its not like it was sitting on the lot for months or I bucket washed it and ran a dirty towel over it.

And DuskSS you got a great deal!
