Break Squeeeeek (SS)

I need to thank you all for helping me with the DOD change to eliminate exhaust drone, but the break squeak problem never seems to go away, and I'm at wits end. My 2011 SS does not have the "roller skates", and I have changed pads to Hawk ' performance ceramics, with no change. I've completely torn down the front and rear breaks, and applied all the Permatex grease previously discussed on this forum. The problem never seems to go away.

What's available after market, for a complete swap out? Brembro "big brakes"? Has antbody taken the $$$ hit yet? If so, how was your experience?

Thanks, Dennis

How do you use your car? I plan on upgrading to CTS-V brakes personally for my 2014 1LE. However, if you don't really track the car it is not needed and you could just swap to Hawk HPS pads or ceramic pads. If you do track occasionally like I do the it may be worth the upgrade.

Did you properly bed in the pads? Also, sometimes small contaminants and road debris can get cought in the pad causing the squealing. Try cleaning up the pads and rotors with some sand paper and re bedding them using the bedding process below.
