How to install MSDS fuel pump voltage booster?
Hey everyone . It's only 2 days away....the start of my Magnuson supercharger install. I have everything I need (I hope ). The only thing I don't have a clue about is how to install the MSDS fuel pump voltage booster. I looked on youtube...nothing. I looked here and nothing. The paper that came with it shows how to hook it up (schematics) but nothing else. My mechanic friend is actually doing the install and I'm the helper, but I'm not sure if he knows about this or not. He's a certified Hyundai mechanic so no vehicles over 200HP . The information I did find about this is....it is easy to install. Just no "how to"
Thanks |

You can download instructions with pictures off of east coast superchargings website. Not sure what brand of bap they use but it might be of some help

Just splice the Red/white wire to the FMCM. Red wire on connector side, Orange on side going to trunk. Hook red and black to battery and run vacuum line. Then hook to computer and set the voltage.

I hope my mechanic friend that's doing the install knows how to decipher this or I'll just install my headers and call it a day!
I need to take off the rear passenger side panel (has the arm rest for back seat passenger), correct? Where does the fuel pump voltage booster bolt to? Underneath the car? Wires to the trunk to connect to the battery and wires spliced with wires that run behind the now removed panel? Where does the plug on the fuel pump voltage booster plug into? |

Yes remove the passenger side panel and run the power and ground to the battery.
Here's 1 location to install it. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...07&postcount=2 How I installed mine. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...55&postcount=2 |

I like the idea of putting the FPVB in the trunk and running the wires where they need to go. But why do I have to pull off the passenger side panel?

Big C, this is the schematic I used and it was easy. Mine was mounted in the trunk and I tapped into the fuse block just behind the passenger side rear tire in the trunk, not the passenger compartment.

Make sure the MSD is properly programmed. Too low and it won't do much. Too high and it will throw the CEL.
