Newbie saying Hi !

Hi all !

My names Jason and I am a prospective new owner from Doncaster....going to test drive a brand new camaro (white coupe with black stripes) at WH Brand in Spalding on Friday and I cant wait ! I have driven camaros in the states and I love them, there is just not another car that has such presence !

I do have a couple of questions though....

How easy is it to adjust to a left hand drive manual ?

I know its a thirsty beast and that does not worry me but out of interest how many miles to a full tank are you guys getting ?

Thanks guys !

First of all welcome to camaro5 filled with good and helpful information.

It depends on how well you are able to adopt.

On a full tank I get between 270-300 miles. I have a ls m6. But it all depends on how I drive.

Welcome to the fold.
As Tom and Jules said it very quickly becomes a non issue. Find a road with rumble strips and cats eyes so as to get feedback when you're too close to the edge or middle and drop your wing mirrors just a little so you can see your position at the rear. I still find that extra caution is required when driving on to roundabouts because of the angle and also the screen post obscures your view. Realistically after 500 miles you'll not even think about it unless the road is very narrow.
I've got the auto but still get 25 or 26 on motorways, 18 or 19 everyday stuff or 7 if I'm being stupid ! (MPG not range!)
You'll soon fall in love with it if you haven't already.

Or as one of my favourite quotes goes;

"One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching".

Not sure who it's attributed to but so relevant.

Thanks for the tips Rick, I fell in love with the camaro the first time I drove one in the states a couple of year back....thats pretty good mpg, I have a focus ST at the moment and that averages 26 mpg.

Well fingers crossed my test drive Friday goes well and that I can get a good deal
