A salesman from Santa Monica Chevrolet just called. They have a silver SS/RS auto available. I ask how much, he said MSRP +10 grand. I laughed and said call when you're selling them for a discount.

MSRP + 10k...that is a bargain!!

Now if I can only find Jay's number....

Brings back memories from 2 years ago when the Shelby GT500 came out....SoCal dealers were charging $10k-$30k over MSRP and people were paying them. BUt people who pay that much over MSRP CAN afford to and it is just loose change for them.

They may well get the price. They are just down the street from MTV, Yahoo, et. al. Kids with big bucks. They have overwhelmed the local surf spots with $700 long boards, which they spend 99% of the time sitting on.

They don't really learn to surf. A modern long board is like a bike with training wheels.
