Carbon Fiber UV Protection

oh so heres my delema, i have a few carbon fiber exterion bits. One in perticular i have been having issues with the clear or resen or whatever it is clouding up after a farely short time (a few months). Now the company that i have purchased it from has replaced the part once already but im having the same issue again. and again the company is replacing it free of charge. I couldnt ask for better customer service.

is there some sort of UV protectant that can be put on these exterior bits to help protect them? i mean its great that they keep being replaced but at the same time if i can prevent that from happening i would like to. i was told to just wash and wax like i usually do, but if there is something specific i can do?

How soon are you waxing as compared to when it's made? If you don't let the clear coat on top properly cure you could be causing it. I would treat it the same as any paint, give it 30-90 days before waxing or sealing.

If this is not the case then it's a production problem where the carbon fiber is the issue, which since it's under the clear coat you can't really do much about it.

Just get them clear coated with a good automotive clear coat, they are UV resistant.
also ask them what type of resin they are using, some resins will yellow over time and some resins are UV resistant, they obviously need to use UV resistant resin for exterior pieces.

Can you post a picture?

to be honest im not sure how long the product has been made from when i first waxed it. but from what i was told it was a production issue and it should be fixed now. i just was wondering if there was something additional i could do to help prevent it

id rather not post a pic as i dont want to give the company a bad name ya know. not sure if that makes sense or not. they're doing such a good job with helping me out, i dont want anything to hurt their business. espically now since they said they fixed whatever issue it was.
