Rust on rotors -how to eliminate when storing
This week the garage got a little humid and I noticed the rotors have a little surface rust. I know driving it will remove this but when I finally put it away this winter anyone have any tricks to eliminate this (safely)
Thanks Ryan

If your car is getting that much rust on the rotors and is stored inside, you need a dehumidifier. My car never gets rusty rotors from sitting in the garage over the winter.

It's just surface rust it comes off after the first time you brake the car, I wouldn't really worry about it. Happens to me when I wash my wheels really well.
Like someone else said, dehumidifier if its really worries you, I wouldn't put anything on the rotors for fear of contaiminating the pads. |

And this is why your garage needs a dehumidifier.

Id still be afraid it would do something to the brake pads. Best way to get rid of the rust is take it on a quick shot down your road while applying the brakes to heat them up. I have noticed with these cars you never want to wash then let sit. The pads almost fuse themselves to the rotor, its crazy.
