My Dad just bought a 2009 Challenger SRT8

He called from the dealer and asked "Does your car have 1500 miles on it yet?"

Now...He got an Automatic whereas my 2SS is the LS3.

Let the fun begin!

He should pick up his car tomorrow from the dealer!

The LS3 and L99 put out roughly the same power and times so either should take the SRT-8 just fine.

ls3 is a tad quicker from the numbers. LS99 will be even or touch slower. As much as i am a Gm fan all my cars have been chevy. If I had the money for the SRT-8 i would probably buy that instead.

yeah i had the car and driver or something else that had all the numbers. Camaro has whole stopped and handled better. 0-60 in the LS3 4.8 or something and SRT8 was like 5.2. LS99 was about same as the SRT8 either way these cars are so close, thats it going to come down to driver and what tranny u have

Dont know where those numbers came from but my L99 is running 4.7 to 4.9 0-60 times and 13.0 to 13.2 in the 1/4. 5.2 is nowhere close to what I run. The L99 is quicker in the 0-60 by .1 or .2 secs but the LS3 is like .1 or .2 secs faster in the 1/4. I have seen many L99s here beat LS3s at the track. People seem to think because a couple people on here have problems with their L99 that they are all slower. This is not the case. I took an SRT-8 by .3 secs just last week and am going back out there tonight.
