It does sound good...the tone is pretty typical of a magnaflow setup, cept this one seems to have a bit more "rumble" than some. For instance mine, with the resonated X installed sounds like this tone-wise, but just much smoother. I'd love to have more rumble like this though.

If you install magnaflows without a resonated X you will get something similar to this with decent rumble.

If you go to the actual youtube video page, the guy describes his setup exactly, and has a link in his description to a diagram of his custom setup.

Its a magnaflow Tru-X in place of where the stock H pipe would go, followed up by a dual in-dual out further back, and then from there he runs 2.25" pipe all the way back to the tips. He has part numbers listed on his video page.

master mechanic friend helped me bring my idea to life...we got it cut and clamped in place for testing for the first 1000 miles and will weld when the tweaks are complete...

Sorry, it's a matter of physics... missing 2 cylinders and the different firing orders, etc.

that being said you can still make your V6 sound great with one of the systems listed in this thread! You just need to figure out which system works best for you!

Yeah I don't understand the desire to try and make a 6 sound like an 8. If i feel the need to hear a V8 I go hop in my truck and drive it around. The V6 sounds very different and personally I dig it. My particular set up just might fool the average ear into thinking it's a V8 at idle or anything below 2k rpm but above that it is most definitely V6 loud and proud. I'm running LT's, HFC's, CAI and a full cat back system. LT's will give you that rumble down low but at some point during the rest of your rev range you'll get some rasp depending on the other pieces in your setup.

Numchuk...sorry but you'll never make a V6 sound like that. As SIXJAK has said, you can make em so that the average person would probably mistake it for a V8 at idle and lower RPMs, but once you get on it the V6 scream will always come through.

The two in my sticky thread I think of first off that sound most like the V8 video you posted are:

and this car:

There are many others that sound really great though as well. The ones above would probably be a bit much for me.
