shift boot fitment
I have a 2010 Camaro A6 and am looking to put a 2012 Suede ZL1 shift boot on it. I am trying to find out if the ZL1 boot will snap right on or is it a different mounting base than the 2010 base?
I know the knobs would need to be retrofitted if I was putting it on a 2010 M6 car just not sure about the boot. |

Here are a couple of pictures to compare. The first is a 2010-2012 boot, the second the 2013 up boot. The bases are the same (the first base has been modified to fit the auto) The opening for the knob is where the difference is. It may be possible to cut the later boot's opening to work but I've not tried it.
