Frameless Autodim Onstar Mirror

I have a 2013 LT vert, which comes with the manual frameless mirror. I decided I wanted the autodim feature and found one that came off of a 2013 SS/ZL1. I figured it would be plug-n-play, simple installation. Nope, because of pins .. no power when plugged in.

I perused most all of the topics I could find where folks were retro-fitting the 2013 mirrors to their older model Camaros (2010-2012).

Does anyone have a schematic of the 7-pin vs the 5-pin plugs for these mirrors? I'm guessing a couple of pin location switches would do the trick. TIA

The auto dimming only uses 2 wires for the Onstar, and the non uses 4 of the 5 wires you have now, you dont have power or the date to make it work, and you dont have the 2 wires needed for the auto dimming part, so that is 4 wires and the 3 from your side of the harness makes 7 in all.

we can make you a harness but its not going to be plug and play and my not work with auto dimming.

Depends if I get the autodim one to work without a lot of hassle. Stay tuned. I'm not going to run extra wires ... don't need it that bad.

It's a no go on getting autodim to work on lesser model '13 Camaro. Dwalex's schematics and Ofer/2ssrs@gen5diy confirmed this, it ain't got what the mirror needs ... something about a data bus which apparently connects to something my 1LT doesn't have. I'll be manually flipping the mirror plus the bird at those bright lights blinding me.

OK found out you need the driver side out side mire to work with the inside auto dimming mirror.

A tinted rear window does the trick if that's an option.
