Tail Of The Dragon Run February 19,20 or 21

If the weather is what they expect next week Wednesday...Thursday or Friday mid 60's I plan a Dragon run. If anyone is interested in joining. I know it's during the work week.....being retired has it's advantages. I thought I put it out if some of you might have the day off. I don't care what day it is. More Camaro infomation on the Facebook Page. https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/Camaro5/

Darn..........I'm not retired........yet...........with all the days off a couple of weeks ago and now this week, no way I can take off next week, thinkin April for me.........if you're looking for a little extra there's a loop between Cullowhee and Franklin/Highlands Road that's really fun, secluded with a really pretty waterfall and some nice less tight turns.

I think this is the waterfall Diane is referring to. Great Photo OP. You can drive under the waterfall. It is a couple of miles north of Highlands, NC on Rt 28.

This looks great but it's a little to far for this cruise out of Knoxville, TN however I could get this run in on my way to Myrtle Beach in July ...thanks for posting.

That's Bridal Veil Falls on 28,but there's a less traveled road. Maybe when you go to Myrtle Beach. Let me know and I'll fill you in.

Excuse my newbie ignorance, but what exactly is a Dragon Run? I looked at the FaceBook link, inclined to think it is a road course or coned track? I, too, am retired - you are right, it DEFINITELY has it's benefits. I am getting an MTI Racing tune put on my Camaro on Wed the 19th, but Thu & Fri are wide open... The waterfall shots look awesome

Tail of the Dragon is Hwy 129 between Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Has lots of twists and turns in a short distance. Kind of a dangerous place sometimes. The waterfall is not on Tail of the Dragon, it's on Highlands Rd, Hwy 28 between Franklin and Highlands, NC.

I'm trying to get the best day of the 3 to go and that looks like Wednesday the same day of your tune. If the weather changes and Thursday looks ok Temp wise should be fine it's the rain I'm trying to avoid. If you want to take the run with me your more then welcome.

Now it's starting to look like Thursday the 20th for the Dragon Run....68 degrees and only a slight chance of a shower.

Between the national weather service....WBIR, WVLT and WATE local weather...it still is unclear what day will be better. Wednesday or Thursday. I'll wait a bit more and it will change again.
