Double check and see if they still have the lifetime plan. It was like 399.00 but it is for as long as you own the car. If the radio breaks or the car gets stolen it will be moved to the new radio/new car.

There's just something fundamentally wrong with paying for radio...just how I see it. I just use my iPod, haven't listened to music on the radio in years.

I think I will keep mine I just took a road trip 1500 miles round trip and it was great to be able to listen , I also used my iphones music but i like to here something different sometimes it gets boring listening to your own music all the time 70's on 7 is the best channel I think . The onstar nav was great too that I will also keep

Been a long time subscriber to XM, since 2004. For the first time, I'm thinking about dropping it. I find they never play anything I like. It got worse with the merger. I want my SQUIZZ back! The sound quality has also taken a dive.
Think I'll just stick to my iphone and get traffic reports from my NAV unit. The only thing I think I'll miss is the comedy channel. |

I'm with you on this one, I have a LOT of music that I like to listen to on my ZUNE and on flash drives. I can take ANY OF IT from one car to the next without ANY hastle.

I'll probably let the trial subscription expire. Agree there's just something wrong with paying for radio. On top of which there's been several times where the signal will drip simply from driving through wooded areas, or as I go under over-passes. Weak.
I've got 60Gigs of MP3s, or about 34 days worth. I'm not overly worried about having music to listen to.

I really like the XM radio and will more than likely continue it after the 3 months for at least another year. I live in a very rural area, lots of fading and dead spots sometimes for 3-5 seconds. With todays technology I would think they could minimize that.

Hello!
|
I'll let XM expire as well....just don't spend enough time in the car to pay for it. If I had an hour commute or something, then yeah I see a reason but with the flash drive and iPod...I'll be fine.
Although...the lifetime price (I'm going to look that up) doesn't sound half bad as I like the comedy channel and of course being able to get the news (like Fox or CNN) in the car is nice...I like the 80s on 8 too... |

Lithium is a great station too. I couldn't imagine not having XM. I have it through DirecTV in my house too. When I have people over, I just turn on my surround sound and just jam to XM rather than fuss around with the ipod every couple of minutes when shuffle brings up a stupid song.
