Here is one I have used...
http://locktonmotorsports.com/insurance/ It's not cheap, but better than having a $40k wad of scrap metal

Lockton is good. I have used them and know of others who unfortunately had to make a claim and they didn't give them a hassle.

One question- does anyone know with certainty if Lockton covers damage that is less than a total loss? Say you brush a wall and have $10k in damage, but the car is clearly not totaled. Will they pay to fix it, less the deductible of course?

I believe that is the case. I have used them as well, there are others but they all go through the same underwriter so they have almost the same prices and Coverage. You can get coverage for one event or multiple events which will cost less per event.

What are you paying on average?
I put in single day HPDE event, $35K, 10% deductible, and Instructor....It came up with $206 for an event in Cali (none of my events were listed) Thanks, Matt

Mine is covered under my Geico policy. My policy states as long as its not "road/street racing" and its on a racetrack it's covered.
It does not cover a dedicated race car though. It covers track days. |
