could anyone tell me what dealer they bought their car in the los angeles area at msrp. and how recent u bought it. i plan on buying asap to take advantage of CARS program

Looks like you might be too late....just read that the government is suspending the "Cash for Clunkers" program.

Does the Camaro Qualify? I thought it was limited to 2008/2009...

2010 vehicles do qualify but my guess is would be the well already dried up.

Congress just allocated another $2 billion for the program. It ought to last a couple more weeks.

I think Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach sells at MSRP, as does Camino Real Chevrolet in Monterey Park.

Whether they have allocations in a different story.

I think you would have to buy a Camaro that is on the lot though because if you order one they don't apply it until time of delivery and by that time the CARS program may be over with.

only the camaro v6 qualifys i read all about the program the car your trading in must get less then 18mpg combined to qualify, and the car you buy must get bettter than 22mpg combined city/hwy. the car you trade in must have been in your name for a minimum of 12 months. the program ends nov. 1 2009!!! or if it runs out of money it will be sooner!!! if the differance between your old car and your new car is 4-9mpg you will recieve 3500 if the differance is 10mpg or more you will get 4500!!! car must be 1983 on newer!!!

actually it's 1984 or newer but it must be less than 25 years since the vehicle was manufactured.
