Road course, 18" wheels?
Hello All,
I am wondering if any ZL1 users are running 18" wheels for a car they use on a road course? If so what brand, size and offset? I just installed the CTS-V front brake set-up on my 1LE and want to see what options there are for 18" wheels Thank you, Matt

Matt, give John at CCW a call 1.386.258.0083.
When i talked to him last year he assured me the Zl1 brakes fit under his 18 inch wheels |

I'm the 19" TSW Interlagos for road racing. They work very well, you could get the 18's on there but I suspect the extra air space helps with brake heat.... would have to do some extensive tests to prove it though.

TSW Interlagos in 18x9.5". Then you can run Continental Sport Cups on all 4 corners in 275/35/18 size. The Interlagos cost under $1,000 a set from Discount Tire Direct and the Conti scrubs are under $500 a set delivered. Doesn't hurt that the Interlagos are 19.9lbs apiece either.

OK, so anyone running 18's?
what offset? what width? I really would rather do 18's. The tires are cheaper than 19's. I am looking into forgestar 18's. They do 10, 11, & 12 inches wide. I am looking at doing a square set up so I can rotate front to rear

If you've got ZL1 brakes, no worries, if you've got CTS-V brakes, no worries, we can make it work for the Forgestar F14's which you can see pictures below on a ZL1 in 18x10 and 18x11, OR you can go with the CF5's as well which have great brake clearance:

I had a set of aftermarket 20 x 10, ET25 wheels that could be rotated....unfortunately you would give up the 1" in the rear and they were sold.
I ended up buying a set of 19" Z/28 wheels (19 x 11" and 19 x11.5") and some 305/30/19 Hankook RS3s. (No you still cant order them, no I cant get anymore. Yes, it pays to live in the Detroit area!) -Matt
