No mo Mullet!

So... I was staring at the pictures of 5th Gens today, like i always do nowadays it seems...

Was wondering, with the "mohawk" look the coupe has on the 5th Gen... do you guys think we may just be able to shed the ridiculous "Mullet" mentality often associated with our cars??

I sure hope so...

where did that even come from? mullets weren't even popular until the 80's and this car got really popular way before that...

I don't know about you guys but I associate the "Crew" Cut with Camaros. Mullets are for the guys in the Chargers. Bald heads for Mustangs.

I used to have a mullet before they had the name mullet. A lot of my friends did. When I was a junior in high school back in 91, I cut it and I've never had one again.

Nope, around here mullets were always found behind Camaros in the 80's.
Mullets are out for this new 5th Gen, this is the car for everyone! The few, the proud, the Camaro drivers! (sorry for stealing that Marines!)

Here is my logic for the tendancy of rednecks to have mullets. The origin of the term redneck stems from the fact that people who constantly work outside have a redneck from sunburn. If you are constantly told that you are a redneck and don't like it you are going to take procautions against it. Such as blocking your neck from the sun. Thus, grow your hair longer in the back but keeping the rest relatively normal. Then you get the classic mullet. And yes I pretty much made all that up.
