Da fook ?
Not a good idea since the engine would go right to the rev limiter on start up.

I suppose that would improve flow!
Not sure if serious, but I highly recommend not doing that. |

on the inside of the throttle bodie there is a blade/flap whatever.. it has two bolts holding it... it control the amount of air the car is getting more you push the gas more air it lets thru... I was thinking if you removed you would get more air flow.. im going to my tuner today im going to remove mine and see if it works I drag race
bikes and we did this mod to help with air flow.... if you take your cold air off and look in the throttle bodie you can see it plain as day... |

we have a wireless throttle connection meaning the car senses the position of the go pedal and opens the throttle blade appropriately in response to the movement of the pedal with out a wire as in old style linkage for a cars carburation or fuel injection. Removing the throttle blade would be very stupid as this is not some crappy motorcycle and likely would cause the car to fall flat on its face and stall from having too much air to fuel when its cold, let alone when your just part throttle driving, more is not always better, educate yourself....... that's why they made springs on the side of manifolds that slowly heated up on the intake to allow slowly more air to get into a cars engine...its called a choke...automatic choke , some had electric chokes on the carburetor, some had a choke lever you pulled until the car would start then slowly pushed in over time as the car kept running....... also there were primaries ands secondary lets with two divided sections in a performance cars four barrel carburetor and only part of the "butterflys" the primary would open partially and correspond with the movement of the gas pedal via mechanical linkage to the carburetor......... The butterfly valve as it is commonly known is what you are referring to as the "flap" on our throttle body. And removing the flap thingy would just flood the car with too much air and the dumbo on the pedal would have to press the pedal harder to supply more fuel to keep it going which in turn would electronically turn a little shaft that used to hold the flap and do nothing but tell the car to give it more gas...... Or a chuckle head could try and drive it that way, I would love to watch....ROFL I imagine it would be great on U tube, might even get some money on Americas dumbest backyard mechanics or something. The engine I do not think would go to wide open throttle unless the guy with the go pedal was pushing that hard to keep it running unless the engine could sense the air flow and responds through flowing more gasoline like say if the engine had some kind of fancy thing called a sensor....... that could mean unless someone turned the car off while running like at WOT or stuck their hand over the intake opening to choke it someone could what....almost blow up their engine repeatedly bouncing off the rev limiter..... maybe set it on fire if done long enough.... or finish first in Americas dumbest hillbilly mechanics competition.............. lol god you have me laughing......... If you do not see what I saying here its a bad idea, but be sure and keep us posted..................rofl
