How Are Our Tires Holding Up?

Ok guys time to chime in. How many miles do we have on the P-Zero's and how are they looking?

Mine where looking ok at 4000 miles. Will have to start keeping better eye on them now that my car is running better. I am driving around alot with traction control off now having fun.

I am curious about this as well. You should buy one of those tread depth gauges, and compare it to the original tread depth to see how fast they are wearing. I sure hope those tires can go at least 20k+ miles at that price.

If you read the reviews of the tires on www.tirerack.com they are gone after 5k. Not good at all in my mind.

I am going to get some of these all the way around after they go.

Little over 6K on mine and I'd be really, really surprised if I don't need new ones for the back by 10K!

Fronts look good still...

Haven't measured the tread depth on the rear with this many miles but the tread wear indicator is getting oh so close to the road!

How much rubber are you leaving behind during launches with the TC off?

I've got 11,700 miles on mine already, with a whole day at High Plains Raceway (road coarse) and a couple dozen runs at Bandimere (drag strip). They still look good.
I'm very surprised, thought they would be used up by now.

I'm getting the parada too. Good tires, I believe they're classified as a street/suv tire, however they're still high performance.

Go with Vredestein tires. They are well reviewed in the corvette world. Great handling tire that holds up well. The biggest benefit is they can be had for less than $200 each online. Search Vredestein Ultra Sessantas. Make sure you do not select the SUV version which is a much lower rated tire.

There's several sites that have the Vred's. The tire is the Ultrac Sessanta and has earned top ratings by the Euro performance magazines.

These guys have the 275/40/20 for $164.97:

There are a lot of GOOD performance tires out there that are Z reated AND less that $200, PLUS have a UTQG rating of 300 and above. and if you didn't know, that means longer life. the PZero's UTQG rating is 220 (HIGH $), the Yoko Prada Spec X is 420 ($150), the Kohmo Ecsta STX is 420 ($109) I am running these on my current car right now, have 44000 miles on them, and have a LOT of tread left. So when the PZeros give out, I will be getting a set of them or the Prada Spec X.
