Where to pass through the firewall - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a train horn set mounted behind the lower grille of my ZL1 fascia. I am mounting the tank and compressor in the trunk. I have 50' of 1/2" D.O.T. airline to work with. If I bring it under the carpet through the cabin, where can I pass through the firewall to get under the hood?

look under hood on the drivers side.
find where the battery cable comes through (next to the master cylinder)
about 2 inches above the battery cable is a hole with a plug in it.
you can't really see it but you can feel it, push that plug out.
then pull back the carpet in the footwell and find it.
its probably a 5/8" to 3/4" hole.
