DDL's off, Fog Lights Only On While Driving 2014 RS Help? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi guys...
When I bought my 2014 RS SS V8 Camaro I could have swore they showed me at the dealership how to turn off the Daytime Driving Lights and then Turn On the Fog Lights Only while Driving on my Car but ever since then I haven't been able to do it.

The way that they showed me to do it was to Turn Off the Auto On Feature for the Headlights by turning the knob left which then displays it turning off in the Dash Display then to Push that same Button to Turn On the Fog Lights which it also displays that also on the dash.

But i don't normally drive with my Fog Lights on but recently I noticed that even though I was doing the steps shown to me I wasn't getting the results I wanted.

My 1st question is, Does the 2014 RS SS even have have this feature?
2nd, Am I doing something wrong or not in the right order?
3rd, If I'm not doing something wrong, Could the problem have started when I got my car Tuned / Reprogrammed after getting LT Headers installed?

Having it this way really doesn't bother me, What bothers me is Not knowing whether or not if its supposed to work or not the way I'm wanting it to or if it is working already correctly.

So if someone that has a 2014 RS SS Unmodified Camaro could help me out with this, I would really appreciate your help.

I know on my RS the "fog lights" are the daytime running lights. it says so in the manual also.

When you press the foglight button on your dash, your DRL halos will stay on because the activation of the foglight button turns on your parking and taillights. I can almost guarantee that your halos stayed on when they showed you at the dealership because the foglights are wired to turn on your parking and taillights when you press the button.

Even turning the auto headlight feature off, if you press the foglights all other lights excepts the headlamps will turn on.

Hmm,.. I don't know then because I was standing right there along with the sales person and it was actually the financial manager that showed me how to do it because he said that'show he does it in his SRT-10 Truck and when he showed me how to do it the "Only" Front Lights that i looked at and saw that were on were the Fog Lights, Unless the Parking Brake had something to do with it at the time because the car is a manual and we were just sitting there.

I thoroughly tested the heck out of mine and to agree with the above posting from Wocampb mine appears to be working correctly and is what I needed to know.

If the parking brake was on then the DRL halo will be off. The parking lights and rear lights will still be on though.
