Skip Shift not engaging??

Hey guys got my car Saturday and in the 300 miles I've put on the car since then my skip shift has only engaged twice, should I be worried?

When I drove the car off the lot I did 3/4 throttle to 4kRPM in 1st and 2nd, gave about of 7 test drives that day with full throttle pulls to 4K in 1st and 2nd. Is it possible the computer learned my driving that way and therefore is not engaging it?

That's all I could think of

Thanks!

It only does it if you are not getting on the gas...it will only do it at a certain speed and up to a certain RPM....if you are accelerating fast it will not do it no matter what.

Its like balancing a plate on your head and chewing gum and walking down the road while juggling to get it to enage. A bunch of circumstances have to haappen. I deativated mine just because its easy but I only encountered it 2 or 3 times in about 800 miles. The computer won't learn and deactivate it, it just doesn't happen often in the first place. Its really not a bad thing if it saves us money and really doessn't bother us.

Skip shift occurs when:

• The engine coolant temperature is higher than 76°C (169°F),
• The vehicle is going 24 to 31 km/h (15 to 19 mph) and
• The vehicle is at 21 percent throttle or less.
