Unhappy Help! Swapped Seats and getting "service airbag" warning when I start the car...?

The title pretty much says it all and I don't really know if im doing this in the right area but please someone help me out. I think his seats are from a newer model car than mine. Also the seatbelts wont fit into the receiver, so that's something i plan on contacting him about swapping back as far as that part specifically, but I don't know if that is related to the airbag or not. Any wisdom is much appreciated. Thanks!!!http://www.camaro5.com/forums/images.../emoticon1.gif

Do the seats have power and do they work? First check to make sure the clip under the seats is plugged in properly. If that's all great, the check the airbag clip. I switch the leather on my seats and I forgot to plug the airbag clip back in. There are two zippers in the back of the seat, unzip those and pull the leather up. On the driver's side the airbag is on the door side on the side of the seat. It's shaped like a kidney and is black. On the top of the airbag there is a plug with an orange tab make sure the tab is pushed down and fits snug in the airbag. Same thing for the passenger side. I thought I messed something up, and it was just a tab that needed to be pushed down. I hope this answers your question.

On this post check out post #4 picture 22. This is the airbag and the clip that is probably messed up.

If you bought seats that don't have airbags then you are in big doodoo if you can't get your old airbags from your old seats. Good luck bro

A lot of aftermarket seats do not have air bags . That's why ppl use resistors to fool the system to thinking their is a air bag their

I did check that connector that you mentioned. And again i appreciate it, but no luck with that. I go to school with the guy and am pretty good buddies with him, but the seats are 5th gen leather full power. All functions as far as the seats work, the difference that I've noted is that there are a couple more pins on the main wiring harness that plugs into the frame receptacle, the other seat had less pins... Sooooooo one way or another I'll figure it out. Even though it's a v6 it's pretty much my favorite thing on earth so maybe I don't want the airbags to deploy if I crash...

It was just a joke dude, but yes I would be very bummed although better off if they worked... I may end up swapping out the airbag module but I'm waiting for a reply from the author of the post that AnUnarmedMan posted for me to check out. Thanks by the way for that link- excellent breakdown of the seat.
