HELP - Oracle Scanner Install Issue

I'm installing the Oracle Mailslot scanner, and I'm having problems. The scanner is powered on CONSTANTLY. Once I connect the power to the fuse box bolt/lead, the scanner immediately comes on and the remote is not shutting it off. The battery is brand new in the remote, but the scanner will not turn off. It just keeps glowing.

While installing it, the car is off, I don't know if that affects it. The scanner just will not turn off or respond to the remote. I need help!!

Black wire is going to ground (screwed into the body of the car)
Red is going under the bolt that's attached to the fuse box.

I followed Oracle's video, but the scanner is just constantly on and doesn't change patterns when I use the remote.

Help, please! I appreciate all input!

U should have sent it back. The lifts are really cool but there are some quality control issues. Mine went bad overnight.

I did send it back, they actually contacted me today. The scanner worked PERFECTLY for them, they even sent me a video of it functioning properly... This makes no sense to me how this is the case.

Maybe you were to far back from the sensor? The range is NOT really far.

Haha, I spent a solid 2 hours trying to find the proper distance/angle. At many points I had the remote literally touching the receiver of the scanner, still hadn't worked once.

Just tried mine and it's already dead lol. For a $100 item these things are really crap.

I know you said the batteries are new, but is the little plastic piece still in the remote that you need to pull out for the remote to work?

So disappointing, it's such a cool product... I'm really hoping mine works when I hook it up, I'm going to be so upset if it doesn't work and/or if it ever breaks.

That plastic was never actually in my remote, so I didn't ever have to pull it out (obviously). After speaking to AACStyle, nobody knows why it didn't work for me. They said my install was completely correct and I wasn't doing anything incorrectly, so who knows. It worked for them perfectly right out of the box, yet it never worked for me. They're sending it back to me this week, so we'll find out if it truly works..
