HEX Vent install
In your opinion. What is the level of difficulty to install them.
I think they would look great on my ride. Any sound advice or tips appreciated. Tom |

I did mine in my garage. Just watch the you tube video. Use lots of tape and keep the surface of the jig saw clean. I think the worst part was drilling the first hole. After that there is no going back.

Thanks for the feedback.
The only concern I have is when I drill through the hood is the paint chipping near the hole since I have no hood stripes. I know the tape is there but afraid when the tape is peeled off the paint will go with the tape. Tom |

I had no issues @ all. Used new drill bits and took my time -- I triple taped mine to be sure...
You can see the first page of my build -- I have a link to the install if you want to see... or: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=378935 -Don

As others have said, use the youtube video as a guide. I did mine in the garage also and had no problems. No reason to pay someone else for this.

Nivensid and Hammdo your installs looks like factory. Fantastic work.
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger and order the vents. All I need to decide is whether to go with the unpainted or go with my Imperial Blue Metallic. Decisions,Decisions!! Tom |
