2014/15 RS front end de-chrome

Honestly, the refresh didn't impress me.

Although at this point I'm living with it (will be soon , production date Apr/13/15)

The new front fascia - actually liking now
New tail lights - Meh
Chrome strip on the RS - why would they take parts of a '76 Plymouth and install them on the Camaro

The chrome was almost a deal breaker for me. For real!
My sales guy suggested carbon fiber tape.

Anyone with other suggestions?

If I'm flogged a dead horse - I apologize

I have removed my Chrome on mine when I replaced the Upper Grille with the Z/28 Grille and flotie. I also removed the ones over the Headlights, but you will have a slight hole where the chrome snaps into the bumper cover. I simple used some Matte Black Vinyl Cut to the indent under the headlight to do two things, hide the clip hole and give the Headlights a little brake in the solid gloss black.

Did you remove the strip to plastidip it or did you just take off the front and headlights?

I used black out tape, sold at most auto parts stores. Took about 30 minutes and looks great ! No mess, no masking etc.

No, I didn't take the chrome strip neither the front bumper, headlights etc off.. Just masked off the area to avoid overspraying, and then started plastidipping it. After 5-6 coats and 30-45 mins to have it completely dry (easier to peel), I removed the tapes and everything, and started with the peeling. And there is it.
