VIS AMS/Terminator hoods and Rotofab intake - issues with rain?

Thinking about one of these hoods...my only concern is that I have a rotofab, and think that the filter will have rain DUMPED on it if I park the car without the rain guards in...

I live in Houston, where it can be beautiful on your way into the office, and pouring rain on your way home. We see a good bit of rain.

Should I expect any issues if NOT using the rain deflectors? I would anticipate keeping them on if it looks threatening, but you can't always be 100%, and I'm not interested in causing any issues...

THanks!!

I have the AMS. If you keep the deflectors on your intake should stay dry, off and you will likely have a wet filter. I changed from a k&n to a CAI intake to be safe.

sounds good - I was thinking about going to a CAI for it, but not sure I want to deal with selling the rotofab...

thanks for the input!
