L99 needs blower job....
...but not quite yet. Car is on the way. SSRS. I'd like to do things in two stages. Cam and exhaust and then the blower. For the cam, I'm thinking somehting along the lines of 212/224 with .580 lift on both sides with a 115LSA. Want all the power I can get without drivability issues (wife's car). Stock converter stays, but will consider a shift kit and extra cooling if needed. I don't know anything about what's available for Camaros exhaust wise. Hoping someone makes a 1.875 set that will bolt in and connect to the stock exhaust without too much hassle. I want to keep the cats, but don't mind changing to better flowing muffler(s). Will probably do all work except the tune in my shop.
For the blower, I'm set on a TVS2300. I have one on my vette and it's a pleasure every time I get to drive it. 672 at the wheels with very few issues. Just finished a 400 mile trip and it averaged 24mpg with quite a bit of city driving mixed in. I'd like her Camaro to run almost as good with a more female friendly setup. Your help appreciated! Not set on anything except the blower. Wanting your thoughts. |

I know just about enough to be dangerous. I'm trying not to make any mistakes. Have made plenty before and I realize the value in getting it right the first time. That's the reason for asking for help. Looking to learn from those that have been there.

I still have the stock LS3 cam from my vette. Would adding that to the L99 be enough of an upgrade to be worth the trouble?
Thanks to the mods for cleaning up the title to this thread. It was a little off color. |

Give us a call. We are doing 2 TVS installs right now. I have a few L99 stealth blower grinds that would be perfect. It could idle at the stock rpm.

the wife wants a cam that makes it sound lumpy and hot....while the blower is in bypass.

Please elaborate on what you'd recommend cam wise. PM if you'd rather. I won't do the secret stuff. If I don't know the specs, it's not going in my motor.

Honestly it sounds like you'd be a good candidate for an ADM setup. Andy takes pride in making sure his setups (especially cams) are almost transparent (like stock), yet still make good power. He works with Lingenfelter, so he draws from their knowledge base, plus applies what he knows to create a killer mix of products and services that perform. I'd at least PM him and tell him what you want and see if you like what he has to stay.

If you are going to do the installs....I would be happy to do my best and hook you up on the parts.
Comp Cams is coming out with a few really cool cams that will work well with the VVT...as well as a blower. I have some great ideas, of things we could do for you...feel free to get int ouch if you would like to discuss further. |

You don't do a shift kit in the 6l80e, it is all in the TCM tune.
