The rings have seated before you ever took possession of the car.

Bryan, I'm curious to understand your thoughts here. Please let me/us know.

There was a very lengthy thread on this issue quite some time ago, with one side feeling that the factory synthetic oil would seat the rings just fine, and the other camp feeling that regular, non-synthetic oil would be better for the initial break-in/seating process as it is less "slippery".

I would have to agree. Ring seating is extremely important in the first few minutes of startup. There's no way that your engine has not been started and/or run for a bit before you even get to the dealership.

Between the testing to make sure it runs to the driving around loading the car in and out the engine has been run enough to do most of the breaking in.

So in reality, there's no need for any special break in procedure like say for example when you build a new engine and do the first start on your own.

Change the oil at 500 then 1500 miles and be done with it.

That may be indeed the case if the engine is never once started after assembly, but as in my example above that is not the case. You have no control over what happens to the engine before you buy and take delivery of the car, so it's a moot point of synthetic vs. non-synthetic oil as the first fillup.

Seated already when you get the car. Mobil 1 fill from the factory is not a problem.

Exactly this. Proper ring sealing happens in the first few miles after start up. The procedure used to be fire it up check for leaks and take it out immediately and run it up at WOT then let the engine slow the car. Do that about ten times and your rings are seated.

I think every car you ever buy new will always have at least 10 test miles on the car, which of course establishes all parameters.
