New 1LE Owner

Hi everyone! I just became the lucky owner of a new '15 1LE 1SS/RS with NPP. I had a 2011 SS for 1 year a few years ago and this is a completely different animal. I had also two Z51 C6 Corvettes and this car may not be quite as fast, but it is definitely way more fun to drive. Not to mention it gets way more compliments.

I missed the key recall in my research prior to buying the car. So when I got the keys I was like WTF lol. Fixed that problem easily. GM should be ashamed delivering a new car with half assed keys and key fobs.

Added ZL1addons.com rock guards for the front. John is also making me some for the rear and some extra material to make air deflectors for in front of the front tires. Great guy to deal with and great fitting products!

I also have had the windows tinted and the bowties blacked out but do not have pics yet. Made the car look just about perfect!

My old Camaro, wonder if someone here has it. It was kinda unique as I haven't seen many other Camaro's with the stripes extended onto the dash trim.

Why do you feel your 1LE is more fun to drive than your C6 Corvettes? What about the Camaro do you like more than your previous Corvettes?

Thanks

I think it's mainly more fun because it turns heads more lol! It just drives really nice to me. It's very balanced and feels like it has more grip than the Vette's did even though in reality it likely doesn't. Probably get this feeling due to the stickier tires. The quickness on turn in really surprised me. It doesn't drive like a normal 3800lb car. Very easy to drive and just asks for more. I do miss the removable hard top though.

I owned a 05 C6 with Z51 that I sold in 2010. That was the last time I drove a C6. When I bought the 1LE I questioned how much I really remembered how the Z51 felt since I thought the 1LE was as fun to drive. The G2 tire design on the 1LE is a little stickier than the previous gen Supercar (SC) tires on the C6 Z51 so according to the stats the 1LE is at least right there with it in lateral Gs.
