Ground effects

I've seen a few of the build count threads but what I'm really wondering is how many 1LE's were sold with the factory ground effects kit on them?

Honestly, the only reason I have it on mine is because that's the way she sat on the lot. It's an expensive option really. I can't express how happy I am with the kit after chasing the dealer around to get it put on right. But man! I think it changes the entire look of the car.

I'm in Austin, Texas and I've only seen maybe two other Camaros with ground effects and none of those were 1LE's.

So who's got them and in what colors? Please post pics if you have them.

Mine is a 2013 2SS 1LE with the ZL1 tail fin.

At work at the moment. I'll post pictures tonight.

Nice! So you had the OEM style and then switched them to the ZL1 style? Is that what I'm seeing? I really like the Z28 wheels. Those had to hurt the pocket book.

Because I dont know, is this a dealer option kit? I honestly have not ever heard of the "oem kit", unless you are talking about add ons from the chevy performance website?

MRR 228s. Knock-offs. I have a set as my winters. They are 20" and can be had in OEM 1LE sizes (including the correct offset). Real Z/28 wheels are 19"s.

Yes it does. I think it changes the entire front facia as well. The lip is different from the 1LE's which makes it use an SS facia.

It was explained to me the kit is ordered with the car and some come installed from the factory while most only ship with the car and are installed by the dealer. I was told my was delivered from the factory with it on. It's listed on the window sticker as an option not on one of those "add on" sheets stuck next to it.

Mine came from the factory with the ground effects (not dealer installed) and I installed the front grill.

$1300 for the set IIRC. Not bad.
