Help...lol
ok, so I have a new 2015 Zl1, so you know where the controls are for the air vents , defroster, ac etc etc...how do you shut everything off ? I mean there always seems to be one thing lit up ? what if I don't want the ac on or the vents or the defroster on ? there has to be a way to have everything shut off right ? thanks !!

Consult your owner's manual or re-contact your salesman who should be punished on his evaluation if he did not explain the functionality of the car to you.
... Or... follow this link since you have a computer https://www.chevrolet.com/content/da...ers-manual.pdf

ok so I spent some time reading the owners manual and going over the controls in the car, I can turn everything off on the ac side (right) controls , but on the left side where the vent controls are, even though you turn the fan to the off position, one option still stays lit up. i'm ok with that if everything is off, I was just wondering if you could have everything completely off (nothing lit up ) like in my gmc sierra. that's all I was trying to find out.

Not a dumb question at all. Just takes some practise.
I found I discovered things about my ZL1 almost a year later such as the accelerometer in the HUD, and how it would change colors and go crazy if I spun my tires.

so the final answer to my question is..as long as fan is turned to off position , even though an option is lit , everything is off ?

When the fan control is rotated all the way to the left (counter clockwise) the blower motor is off. Even if the AC is on, the compressor won't engage.

LMFAO I GOT YOU BRO..... Folks i been knew about this way back i just never got around to post it ... I guess i should have .. i thought someone would never ask..
1. Turn the system on (left knob) 2. Next select front windshield defroster .. you will notice the lights on the left knob goes out 3. Step 3 leave it in defrost mode .. turn the system left fan control knob to off 4. turn the system fan control knob back to on .. then press the defrost option the yellow amber light will go out. 5. turn the fan control off ... (all lights will be off) kinda weird why it was wired this way??? but that is how you turn all the light off - Mil |

Mil,
just tried that...several times..For me it didn't work ?? Maybe it is now different from 2013-2015 ??? It would say "off" on the nav screen, but what ever setting it was previously on (left side) that light would just come on again....I guess i'm over it.....lol..... |

On either one of those big round knobs , there are a few switches within it , if any one is still lighted , push it again , it will turn off ,press again and it will be back on
