Talking 2016 Camaro SS MSRP best guess?

What's your best guess regarding the MSRP on the '16 Camaro SS?

I'm thinking $35,900 for the 1SS and $39,700 for the 2SS

I would be really surprised if GM increased the price more than a $1K for all models over the 2015's, including both SS trims...at least in the very beginning, but even then they have to worry about competitors prices as well, so don't think it will be tremendous.

Isn't the MSRP of the mustang $32,300 (not including destination)? Is the 1ss more loaded than the base Mustang GT? It seems like the Camaro has always been more expensive than the mustang. $3k seems like a lot more money for being direct competition. I rented a base GT this weekend with the automatic of course. I liked the paddle shifters and liked the car overall. Hated the cloth seats though and thought the car needed more power. For some reason the S197 mustang felt faster (maybe because it was lighter). Also, the car I drove came with 235 tires on all four corners. That's pretty small. I remember people making fun of my GTO for having 245's so don't know why the mustang has such small tires. Guess you have to get the track pack to get the wider tires. In summary, I would think the cost of the Camaro wouldn't increase much since the mustang is cheaper and has been doing well in sales this year.

It feels slower than the S197 because the S550 is more refined. Acceleration feels much different from car to car even though it's not.

MSRP, Camaro SS

I asked Becky from this forum (whoever Becky is) about her guess what a fully loaded '16 Camaro SS would retail for and she told me $45 - $55k. I hope she's wrong, but my guess is at least $45k.

Fully loaded I can totally see that.

Base MSRP I would say somewhere in the 33-35K range

Chevy SS is 46.5k without the sunroof. No reason why the Camaro should be more for a loaded 2SS. By loaded, I mean 2SS, MRC, and exhaust. I'm not going into the different wheels, etc..

Really hoping it isn't more than a 1K jump for the 1SS, putting it at $35,500.

This is why I'm not putting an order in until I see some pricing. I really like the Gen 6 but I'm not brand loyal at all. A 2ss with no options at 40K will send me right to the ford and dodge dealers comparing.

A fully loaded factory option car will hit $45k easily possibly $50k. If you add wheels and such then it will hit close to $55k

I never have understood why Chevy won't offer a camaro for less than the mustang. You can't tell me because its the better car because that's completely subjective. And it's been that way for years so clearly its a strategy on behalf of GM.

I agree with jeffro19. And it's just like Becky stated, $45k to $55k depending on the options ordered.
