Replica Supercars?

Anyone know a reputable place to order a supercar replica from? There are a few I have found online, but not sure how shady some of them are. I see most are priced between $20,000-$45,000. If this is true I would love to purchase one and spend the extra money putting a nice engine and suspension on it. I don't care about it being "real" or "name brand" as far as I am concerned bying a replica would be simply for the lower cost and the looks.

In particular I want a car that MansoryCars.com makes if anyone knows if they are legit or not. Or anywhere that can make similar replicas.

The World's Shadiest "Supercar" Company Is Still Trying To Rip You Off.

There are no legit modern super car replicas out there. There have been a couple of companies that started to do it (for considerable more than $20k though) and the auto companies unleashed hell on them for patent, copyright, etc infringement.

I think for the kind of money you`re willing to spend ($20,000-45,000) you might want to consider or you might even be better off with a kit car, one of the better ones would be Factory Five or a similar company with a good reputation.

I always wanted a supercar , so I bought a ZL1 and had JDP Motorsports install a ZL850 engine package.

If I could get a '66 GT40 MKII replica you're darn tootin' I'd try to swing it. I get happy pants just considering it.

New supercar replica? I'd rather have a new Stingray.

I knew that most were scams, and that most here in the US were shut down shortly after they opened... I assumed Iwould have to buy out of the US.

Buying a ZL1 and modifing the engine is not what I would consider a super car, but yes the Camaro is a very nice car. Thats why I have one. Just not the same as owning a Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc...

I have looked at the kit cars from Factory Five. Was actually considering that they may be one of the only options. Their Super Car looks very nice and it would allow me to put more money into the engine and suspension. $20-$40k is not all I am willing to spend, that has just been the average that I could find. To me that is much more reasonable than $250k. If I then drop another $30-$40k into it I could walk away with a car that performs just as well and looks as good for less than 1/2 the cost.

A replicar isn't the same as owning a Ferrari or Lambo either

You can buy a Ferrari or Lambo for well below $80k used and get the real thing instead of rolling tinted.

The point of a replica Lambo or Ferrari is to have the nicest car in the trailer park. Besides, you dump $60k into building a good one, and it's worth $30k when you are done.

Devil's advocate:

You can put 100K into restoring a '70 Boss 302 and end up with a 50K car. Sometimes it's not about ROI.

Generally speaking non-collector cars are almost always a terrible investment.

+1 for the factory five racing stuff. You get to build exactly what you want, not a muddled version of some pricey super car.
