iPhone through Bluetooth & I-Pod through USB

Don't have my car yet but I was getting curious. I looked around on here and didn't see any mention of it. If you have the Ipod hooked up through the USB and it is playing music, can you have the iPhone hooked up through bluetooth just for the phone part. Don't really want to have to put music on the phone and would rather not have to disconnect it all the time from the console. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have the iphone, but I'm able to have an ipod connected to the USB and my phone connected through bluetooth.

Good to hear. I figured as much but didn't know with all the problems I was reading about with the iPhone and the Bluetooth stuff.

I currently have an 80 gig iPod video hooked up via USB and my iPhone 3G connected via Bluetooth for phone and for the iPod use. When I want to play a song on the iPod I just press the Aux button till it get to the iPod, or if I want to play a song from my iPhone I just play it through the blue tooth, which does not disable the phone portion of Bluetooh. When playing from either the iPod or the iPhone both pause when a call comes in from the iPhone or from the built in car phone from onstar.

+1 - 16GB iPod Nano (new 5th Gen model - how apropos) connected to USB and 1st Gen iPhone connected via Bluetooth. Only difference to SummoneR's post is my 1st Gen iPhone does support Bluetooth music streaming but works perfect for phone over Bluetooth.

When a call comes in the iPod music goes silent, headunit screen shows caller if in my contacts, if that contact is also in your OnStar contacts the caller name will be announced as well (cool - didn't realize it would do that) and the call connects once you answer from steering wheel or headunit control. Once the call ends the music comes back on where you left off.

Except for the random return to "Play All" songs versus continuing to play the same song list as the last time you were in the Camaro and "indexing" the iPod each & every time you get in (irritating if you want to immediately change the song - have to wait until the indexing completed) I really like this set-up.
