Window sticker saying 12 month Sirius ..Sirius saying 3 months ?

I know I think I saw a thread about this but anyone else have this issue yet ?

Not sure if I should call dealership or call Sirius ?

Any help is appreciated .

Yes. There has been at least 2 threads on this. I'm not going to search them for you because I'm lazy, but the jist is that you need to communicate with your dealer and let them know you are supposed to receive 12 months and they will need to work with sirius.

There is another thread here somewhere that says going directly to XM corporate is the way to get it done , because they know about it and will let it trickle down from there…

We hope the issue is sorted out so we don't have to chase sirius.
I have sent my dealership the info on the 12 month subscription and will expect them to make sure it is activated properly from the beginning. Why should we have to fight for it.

You just need to call Sirius. For some reason, Sirius hadn't receive the info from GM about the 12 month trial. I called them and they just gave me 12 more months on my 3 month trial.

I called Serius and their initial response was that when the three months expired to call them and they would add another nine months. I told them I didn't want to call back and asked for a supervisor. Since their system would not let them extend my three month plan they added twelve months starting from the day I called and canceled the three month plan so I got about two months extra. I know from the other strings on this that others have got the same solution.

I used the online chat and got mine fixed. I had to have it elevated but it was easier than the two times I called. I got stone walled on the call but the online chat first said to wait until the trial was up and contact them again but I told them that was to much of a pain. Asked to be elevated up to a supervisor and they came on and I asked to them cancel my trial and redo it and they did. I got a year from the day the trial was canceled.

excellent info and seems to be the best answer...I HATE listening to MUZAK....

Mine was the same way and I got nowhere talking directly to XM so I went through my dealer who was finally able to get it sorted out.

Update: emailed my sales rep at the dealer and got this:

Glen,

I will get it fixed. One other guy had the same thing happen with his customer.

I will find out what he did and duplicate it.

I had a similar issue with them. They are just luck of the draw if the person(people) on the other end is willing or knowledgeable enough to help. I figure when I get my first call from them after the expiration, I will let them have it. I will be talking to sales and not support. They are differently motivated.

Don't give up!!! It took me 3 times to get it right. I used the chat function with Siruis and after about 30 minutes, it was changed from 3 months to 12 months....and the 12 months started that day, which will actually be 13 months of service! Good Luck!!!

I called them today as I am coming up on my 3 months. After 2 transfers and very politely explaining to them what the window sticker states and what my dealer told me they added 12 months to my account.
Just have your account # and radio # handy when you call, be patient and polite and you can get an additional 12 months added.
