Here is the base line with current results of the mods in SAE.
We are going to install the Flex Fuel Kit from DSX, so we'll see how well the E85 does as long as we can find no Winter Blend locally, |

Back to 2016 NicKey 6th gen Camaro Convertible #001
The guys at DSX made a custom length fuel line to clear / fit the Magnuson Heartbeat. We filled the tank with E70 and started to tune the car. Turns out the stock Cam fuel pump lobes are not enough to support the fuel requirements for the Ethanol conversion. We were expecting before and after numbers, but we were planning to go full NicKey Stage II kit, with a cam and ported heads anyway. Some are shimming the stock fuel pumps in order to get the fuel pressure up, but since the car was going to be cammed, we'll just address the issue via the cam lobes. |
