Rear Backup Camera

Anyone know how to get guidelines on the rear backup camera for a 2013 Camaro? Do you have to swap out the camera or is there something to select on the My Link touch screen?? Thanks for any help.

Pics? I have heard that earlier models, the lines show up when you're close to an object.
I have the '15 so they're there all the time.

You may want to consider getting one of these backup sensors Recently devloped in China for all gen5 yrs and models. It's simple and effective and emits a high-pitched squeal when the vehicle backs into something.

To get lines you would need to replace the camera. You can pick up a good camera on Amazon for under $50.

I have a '14 and the lines don't show up at all. Ive been through all the options in the system and don't see where it can be displayed. My dad has a '15 and the lines show up on his.

As Welker2 wrote, the lines are added by the camera. You will find when you visit Amazon cameras with and without lines.

Please post back once you install it in your Camaro. I'm very interested in how EZ it is to install & wire especially as you'll be replacing the factory camera.

I'm unsure for the 2013, but on my 2015, I’ve removed/added the grid lines and symbols via MyLink.

Off the top of my head it is something like; tap home screen tile called Configure, then Display Options, then Rear Camera and you can toggle on/off the grid lines and the symbols.

Not an available option on the 2013s, they added that option with the new/upgraded MyLinks starting in 2014 or 2015. The only ways to get the lines in a 2013 is to either upgrade to the newer MyLink system or buy a camera that has the lines built in.
