Best Exhaust System

Hey guys. My journey to owning a Camaro is just around the corner, and I would like to go ahead and get some things planned out. First thing in mind is the exhaust. What do you all think is the best? In best I mean sound and the extra horsepower. Also, what would be the best headers to match it with? Thanks.

There are some really good systems out there. And more to come. You'll find lots of threads here on exhaust.
The first questions you'll need to look at are, Do you have to pass emissions testing were you live? Do you plan on getting a custom tune? Are you concerned about maintaining you GM powertrain warranty.
Once you know these it will be easier to narrow down what you need and point you in the right direction. Lots of good vendors here to take care of you too.

like haveblue said, there are A TON of different opinions out there, and a lot of different sound clips you should pine through. The bigger ones just to give you some starting points are Corsa and MBRP for the popular ones. And headers, just like haveblue said again, do you have any issues with emissions testing, meaning can you go longtube headers and cat delete's or at least run highflow cats and not have a problem or something to worry about?

Solo Performance Mach-X! Do a search for "Solo Performance". There's group buys, and forums including video for the LS3, L99 and V6.

There are so many different opinions out there it's hard to make choice. I went with the American Racing system. Headers w/free flow cats, 3" to the stock t/pipes and stock mufflers. It's a great sounding system. At low speeds it's quite, but open it up and it will really talk to you. Saved the stock stuff just in case BIG BROTHER comes along with the crazy idea about omissions testing. They made me a great price also. No shipping.

I like Borlas and Flowmasters, but they ALL sound really good!

Look for videos on here and youtube, and form an opinion!

Then order and have a soundgasm!

I love my Corsa, but if I had to pick something else it would be Zoomers.

I second the SOLO PERFORMANCE.

This system may not have the BIG name, but it is a big value. The full Stainless True X-Pipe Cat Back Mach X is only $750 to the door. It also has killer 4.5" double walled tips and sounds like a Ferrari on Steroids. HIGHLY recommended!!

Emission tests are definitely a no go here in WV, so no worries there.

Thanks for the help so far.

Solo Performance Mach-X cat backs! Sweetest sounding system out there! Added power also. Always go with a cat back system if your looking for a little HP boost. Can't go wrong with Solo for the money, best out there, IMO

Has anyone compared the MACH-X to the Magnaflow Competition Series? I rode in a car today with Mangnaflow, sounded great, but the 5" tips are a little to large in my opinion. I am hoping the MACH-X is not any louder than the Magnaflow Competition series, as it had plenty of volume. I don't want anything real loud, just to make a little better rumble than stock, and get rid of the stock ugly looking exhaust.
