Where did you locate your nitrous bottle at in your convertible?

Getting ready to install my nitrous system, and running into a few snags. If I run my nitrous bottle the correct way, neck facing front of vehicle the bottle won't fit without modifications. Meaning it hits the cargo net. So I either disable cargo net, or I have to place the bottle running sideways or angled. Anybody running nitrous in their Bert's and can show me their set-ups? Also where did you put your window or wot switch/ controller? I bought one made to go overhead where the dome light is, but it was from a coupe. I may have gotten that t figured out though. Thank you for your help!

You have a couple other options. You actually can mount it can it left to right, just make sure you keep the top of the bottle tilted upward 15-20 degrees and take extra care in making sure the line doesn't have a hard bend or kink when it makes the turn to head forward to the engine bay. Nozzle forward is always ideal but not always possible and not an absolute must. The better option is ditch the big foam filler and use the extra depth of the spare tire well. I am actually toying with the idea of installing a nitrous system and looked into bottle location a couple weeks ago and determined the spare tire well buys you the extra depth needed for a 10lb nitrous bottle and still allow for top down driving. If I do it I am going to have my friend weld up and nice mounting plate that will drop into the tire well to help secure the bottle and use some automotive carpet and spray adhesive to try to give the trunk a more factory finished look rather than just that ugly bare metal.. Remember to be careful when drilling into that well because part of the fuel tank sits under there and that would obviously be a big problem. I don't think you will fit a 15 pound bottle unless you go left to right with it..

Thank you. I looked at the battery well yesterday and decided against it. Only because my nitrous bottle mount won't fit in there without modding more things. I am now looking into just disconnecting the switch that won't let the top operate if the cover cargo cover isn't pulled out. That would give me more options for space I think. I just have to see where my nitrous bottle would hit without that I the way, and make sure that it does not touch the convertible top when it is down. If that doesn't work I may just angle it. Thank you for your input. Your idea is good if you can make it work. Post pictures when you are done.

Be careful if you disconnect the switch, that switch is there to protect the rear glass, if anything works it way in there it will crack or shatter that rear glass in a heartbeat.

Thank you. I hadn't had time to search and see exactly the exact purpose of that system. Who knows . I may end up copying you, and going with the battery well setup. I do like that. Just trying to get this thing going and not wanting to add more work to the job.
