I've seen Corvettes with LS3, what is the L99 ?

Its a LS3 basically with the Active Fuel Management system.

Let me Tell you, the L99s are No Joke.

We wanted to see what simple bolt ons would do and to say the least I am quite Impressed.

Took a fully loaded L99 car, installed Kooks Headers and exhaust, CAI cold air system, and I tuned it on my Dyno.

Car made 370 RWHP 387 RWTQ then proceeded to the track where the car layed down 12.47 112 MPH on the factory tires spinning them through second gear

With Slicks I see a very low 12 second pass easy, Possibly a high 11.

The L99 is technologically superior to the LS3, so in its current form is it impressive but on the other hand this technology also makes it more expensive to modify.

So you put on Long Tubes, Full Exhaust, CAI and tuned it and it is making the same HP as the LS3 from the factory, right?

Actually it makes more, here is why.

LS3 Puts down 375 average RWHP we multiply that by 1.12 which comes to 420 advertised crank HP.

The lightly modified L99 Puts down 370 RWHP but we multiply that by 1.20 for Auto trans to find flywheel HP of 444.

The Auto uses up about 5-8% more power than the Manual.

I don't feel the full exhaust was necessary just what the customer wanted, our testing shows the stock cat back to be very good.

I was referring to what the car is putting to the ground.

It's all good, LS3 RWHP with simple bolt ons and a tune, and a Fast As Hell Daily Driver.

The autos are also geared a little more aggressively, to compensate for having 40 or so less RWHP, give them the same wheel power and they'll be faster than an LS3
