Two Different Wings For The ZL1 1LE?

So, I was having a stroll with my parts guy at my local dealership, pricing up some of the ZL1 1LE bits (......) and we came across something strange.

There are two different RPO codes for the rear spoiler? And a production 1st design/2nd design break?

The RPO codes for the spoiler were either T42 or T43. T42 said "spoiler, air foil" and T43 said "spoiler, rear".

The part #s for each RPO specific spoiler were different as well.

My questions...

What is the difference between the T42 and T43 RPO spoiler?

What changed on the car that there is a production design break? And its a future date as well, 10/23/2017.

GM offers the wing is CF, or fiberglass to purchase separately. Maybe that’s it, although I didn’t know the glass version was available on the car itself.

Fiberglass?

As I understand it...CF was the only reasonable material they came across that could deal with the pressures and not be too thick?

I assumed the satin black version was fiber glass. Could be wrong.

It says right in the description of your link you posted they are CF in exposed or painted satin black.

I would assume just like the 5th gen ZL1 |old insert was

Now I'm confused.

Are we talking about the Wing, or the hood insert?

I'd pointed out awhile back about this, but, yes, on TGMPG's site, there are indeed two wings. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=10

There's the CF wing the 1LE ZL1 all have and then one just like it, but in the semi-gloss coating like the other parts of the car. I've only ever seen pics of it and had previously asked questions about not only of its existence, but that it has a part number, so it's like it was a scrapped option or an unreleased piece for something.

If you look at the bottom of the link above, you see pics of the non-CF one
