Rev limit in Park or Neutral

I have an automatic 2017 ZL1 and when I try to rev it up in Park or Neutral, it seems to begin rev limiting me around 3,500 RPM or so. Is this normal or should I take it in?

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that's normal man.

I'm also going to assume you haven't read the manual

Yes. not sure how specific it gets on the manual but page 227 states that the transmission will protect itself from going to high in the rpms

It would be good if the signup page had big bold letters:
5th Gen site is 2010-2015 camaro's ONLY
6th Gen site is 2016-up years
Clearly some new owners don't know where they are posting and it's spamming up the site.
