Finally finished! Cam is a beast!

After 2 and a half months I'm finally finished with my GPI SS1 VVT cam swap, and man she's a beast! Would have had her up and running alot sooner but I accidentally ordered the wrong size intake. I had alot of fun and learned a TON. Huge thanks to everyone who commented on my many questions and helped me along the way, wouldn't have been able to do it without y'all.

New tune and idle -thanks RDP/Dyno Steve


First Pull/Moment of truth. It's pretty wet out yet and i'm still running stock pirelli's so I was expecting the slip, But nothing blew up and didnt get any flashing lights/codes!! Lol

My wife was very "surprised" to come home and see our kitchen counter cluttered with car parts haha

Had to pull the heads to swap out lifters since I have a L99.

Figured I'd clean the pistons since heads were off.

Thanks Don, I actually used your build/guide during my install, Was extremely helpful. And yea :( still snowing up here in michigan..Nowhere near as bad as it was last month tho..

That sounds awesome, nice work! Now do something about those exhaust tips so they don't stick out so dang far.

I know it, I've tried but they wont go in any further. The rubber mounts that hold the back are already stretched to the max

Was driving home after work and my CEL popped, P0011- Camshaft Position Timing Over - Advance. I found a couple threads saying it could be a tune issue related to the "VVT tables". I'm really hoping this is the case and its not something mechanical, if it is i'm gonna have to pull everything apart and chances are something will be damaged Anyway, I just emailed RDP/Dyno Steve and explained the situation, Fingers crossed.
