Is this normal?

Got a baseline Dyno on my car... There's a few funky things going on, that maybe someone can clarify.....

At 4000 rpms, I went from 20* of timing, down to like 15, and then it gradually ramped back in. The first run, it was only like 1 or 2 degrees drop, but that was in 5th gear. I'm assuming that's the commanded torque difference between the gears/mph?

And why the hell is it so jagged? Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but that is with a smoothing factor of 5. Wtf

Is that an etchescetch LOL

You experienced knock retard because of, bad fuel or too much timing for the fuel or some other anomaly like pipes hitting the frame.

That’s about what it looks like. It isn’t the dyno either, I should mention

And KR was the first thing I thought of, but there was zero knock on the HP tuners datalog

Any time you see a step down in power timing has been removed maybe torque management or traction control.

Is there a table a gauge somewhere in HPT to tell if timing is being pulled due to TM? This is my first auto.... And all the other autos that I have messed with, it was just a simple thing as, "step 1: remove all torque management."

Yes these cars are an entirely different animal.

You can search your PID list for anything related to torque.
