tires for vert?

hey guys!

so got my car (2013 Lt2 RS Vert) last Sept. and tires were pretty much toast then. So now that i'm taking it out of storage, i need some tires! Are there any brands you guys would recommend that are good but don't break the bank? lol

Probly get flamed for this but I went to SimpleTire.com and got some of the Achilles Desert Hawk UHP's because they had the 2 sizes I need and they cost around $420 shipped to my door. They are 100% times better than the Pirellis that were on there. I also heard the Atturo AZ850's are a great inexpensive tire which will probably be my next set. Amazon also has some really good prices. We got a set of the Desert Hawk tires for my GF's Durango for right around $450 shipped.

I am about due and think I will go Nitto 555 G2. Sounds like good bang for the buck from what I have read here.

Copper RS3-S Tires

I highly recommend the Copper RS3-S tires front 245/45/20 rear 275/40/20. The Copper RS3-S tires were the best moderately expensive tires we ever used on our 10 SS they have excellent dry and wet traction, lasted quite a long time and have a great tread warranty, these tires really planted our Camaro to the ground a specially when the tires were warm, and I really like the contact patch and tread design of these tires. I would purchase the Copper RS3-S tires for our Camaro again we found a decent deal on eBay for these tires. www.coppertires.com www.ebay.com

I love my BFG Comp 2’s. They are a good all season tire with very good performance.

And you may be able to sell the old F1’s to someone who wants them for track day... even if they are toast. You may be surprised. I sold mine with very little tread left. Post them on a local Camaro club Facebook page and I bet they are gone!

I went with Contis because they had the sizes in an all weather tire but I’d go back to the P Zeros next time.

I second this. I have a set and they are good for the price. Worked in the tire business 15 years and had no problem buying them.

I bought the Continental extreme contact sport tires for mine two years ago and was very happy with the reduced sound and great handling and mileage they have lasted. As a matter of fact, I just had them give me a price quote for a replacement set. I’ll have them put on next oil change. The price event dropped a few buck for each tire. Savannah tire price matches Tire Rack for me.
