HELLO, JUST JOINED
After comparing so many RWD cars, I was about to buy the new BMW 135i manual with the Bi-Turbo 3.0 liter. 0-60 4.7, 13.3 1/4. But BMW has had too many problems with the fuel pumps and other problems.
I am NOW 99% SURE I will get a orange or yellow SS manual. Will it come loaded for $35k ??? Just wanted to say HI. In 1983 I bought a new Firebird S/E WS6, it handled great, but 135HP didn't cut it. I can't wait to own a REAL V8 422HP. SWEET!!! |

To be honest nobody really knows what price everything will be. The only thing we know for sure, and this has been drilled into everyones heads, is that it will be competitive to the mustang. So keep the faith.
And welcome to Camaro5!!

My guess is mid to high 30s like 35 to 37 base IMO but hopefully I am wrong.

Aim much lower. Plan on keeping the V8 enough under $30k that an option or 2 won't push you over that ledge. It is Camaro tradition to keep the price down. The V6 shouldn't cost more than $23k. It just wouldn't make sense to price it higher.

Thanks guys. I am willing to spend $40k. I want it loaded with all the interior goodies, biggest wheels, and the 422hp manual. It should run low 13's 1/4.

Thanks Mindz. After waiting a year for the new BMW 135i to come out, I really was very close to getting one. I am on 3 BMW forums now. I have read about TOO MANY problems with the BMW N54 turbo 3.0. I am VERY EXCITED to now be able to afford a RWD car that looks HOT and will have a TON of HP. 422HP is nuts. CAN'T WAIT. No turbo's to worry about. Just MASSIVE GM LS3 POWER. |

The one series are good, but they do have a fair share of problems. I know the owner of my local BMW dealership and he wouldn't drive one. He'd much rather have even a base 3 series than the loaded 1 series.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I can't believe I am getting an American car again. But these specs and prices along with the looks can't be beat. I was SO CLOSE to buying a BMW 135i manual, but TOO MANY issues already. How can a RWD GM car with an LS3 be bad. SO AWESOME.
