Radar Detector recommendations?

Any recommendations?

Not looking to break the bank, but don't want to skimp out on something that'll save my butt a few tix.

Thanks.

Its really hard to beat a V1. Very informative and very accurate. Plus it came in first at the last testing of radar detectors in most catagories..i also have a passport 8500. its very good just doesn't give clear direction of radar like V1. Had both for 5 years. very happy money well spent

Valentine 1 for me as well, it is more expensive but the one ticket it could save you from would be well worth it!

Cost of 1 speeding ticket 20 over...$140-180. Cost of insurance increase over the typical 3 year period a 3 point infraction stays on a driving history..age dependant. $200-500 per year.

Buy the best radar detector you can find. If expensive, so be it. I vote for the Valentine or 9500ix Passport

It all depends on what type of driving you are going to be doing. V1 is the best and I have sworn by it.
However if you are the type of driver that can keep his normal driving 10 to 15 MPH over the limit. The beltronic line of detectors are great for you. They have the range to detect at these speeds and give you enough time to adjust. If you can't keep it in that range you need the V1 !

Maybe that's why Michigan is broke

Hey... it works for me. Cheap tickets and a gnarly 'legal' exhaust! Two good reasons to move here

I have had Escorts since 76 when they were the size of a carton of cigs.

Never had a complaint.
