diablo predator tunes for exhaust

i have the GM axle back exhaust, and i was about to get a diablo predator only because its so easy for a noob like my self to use and put my car back to stock when i go in for chevy repairs , if i every have to....

i was wondering if theres a different tune for people who have a axle back exhaust, i will make it clear, i do not have a full cat back exhaust just the GM axle back thats it.

should i not even look for a tune because my exhaust mod is so minor, or should/ is there a tune for this kind of deal

thanks

Call or PM Ted at Jannetty Racing. This guy has a wealth of knowledge on this subject. With just that minor mod, I would think the tune with the predator would be pretty good, and if it is not you can data log and send Ted the file and he can tweak it for you.

You have performance tunes in the Predator. After installing a tune, drive 75 miles and datalog. From there, you can dial in your fuel trims to compensate any basic bolt on mod. After your fuel trims are dialed in, you will do some WOT or wide open throttle runs to adjust fuel parameters during that part of driving. I think Ted will include a custom tune if you buy the Predator from him. If you wanna do things yourself refer to this:

Dont forget to get the USB interface/powersupply to connect your Predator to the computer.

Don't think you need to worry much about custom tune for axle back. The Diablo performance tune will work just fine.

I got a Trinity from Jannetty and will send him my log files after my headers go on for a custom tune.

Yep... I'm running goooood with a fresh Diablo tune. However for us L99s the TCM tune is killer. Unfortunately Diablo only does ECM.

If you're asking if the tune will bring out more HP from the exhaust swap, the answer is no. The tune WILL help in that there's a little left on the table from GM.

There is NO Custom Tune necessary or any advantage with an axle back only.

The Over the Counter Predator or Trinity Tunes work Fine and will unleash all the power GM left on the Table.

When you get in to LT headers you will need a custom tune.

Ted.

Is there a way to adjust the on/off temperatures of the cooling fans with the predator using the "performance tune"? Or will I have to do a total custom tune for that?
