GI, Kooks LT's

Im a Hooker header guy but it seems they cant get their shit together. I know for fact that the KooksLT's for thr fourth gen were almost identical to the Hooker 2231 LT's for LT1's. Anyone with the Kooks can chime in about fit, quality, install, HP gains, throttle response etc. I'm thinking 1-7/8" Primaries, 3" collectors, 1 set high flow cats, Moroso spiral flow mufflers, Of course 3" stainless front to back. All custom piping.

I just installed my Kooks 1 7/8" headers today. I had mine Jet Hot coated. They look and fit the car great!! I have used Hooker headers on past projects and was not overly inpressed with them. I would highly recomend the Kooks as far as the fit and finish is concerned. I cant comment on the sound or performance yet as I have not started the car yet. But I will tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

Fit, Quality, everything about Kooks is top-notch. I had them on my 4th Gen, have them now on my 5th Gen, and will recommend them all day long. I tried the install myself and it really wasn't bad at all. I did mine on two jackstands (you need a good jack to get the front up high) with some pretty basic tools. I had a buddy help me align them which made it a breeze, it's like they designed the engine compartment to put in headers (didn't have to even disconnect the steering shaft).

As for the results, I haven't gotten it dyno'd but it feels a lot more responsive...You won't regret going with Kooks.

I would say Kooks all the way. I've never see Hooker use things like ball and socket collectors, or merge spikes. Plus Hooker over time has seemed to be okay with having to modify the car some to get the headers in. You don't do that with Kooks.

If anyone has questions about Kooks, give us a call @ 443-730-9428..we have some great specials going!
